How to set up return shipping for each country
Return labels are created with the carrier you choose for the customer's country, picked on the Returns map under Shipping → Returns - available on every plan, LABELS included. Until a country has a return carrier and method, OrderKrab will not create a return label for orders shipped there.

- 2
Click a country on the map, or type it into Find a country. A panel titled Returns for (country) slides in beside the map.
- 3
Pick the Return carrier. The dropdown lists only your active carriers that have a shipping method enabled for that country - if you instead see No shipping configured for this country, set up a carrier for that country on the Delivery tab first.
- 4
Pick the Return method - courier, locker (the closest one is resolved automatically) or store pick-up, depending on what that carrier offers. A carrier without a method can't be saved; the field shows Pick a method for this carrier. until you choose one.
- 5
If a Return service dropdown appears, pick a service. It only shows for carriers whose rates are calculated at checkout: those returns have no delivery product to reuse, so the service has to be pinned here.
- 6
Click Save in the Unsaved changes bar at the bottom of the panel. A Shipping configuration saved. confirmation appears and the country shows as Configured on the map. Repeat for every country you accept returns from.
Good to know
- The map is on the Shipping page, so every plan can reach it. The Returns Portal page that consumes it is PRO-only, but Create Return on an order is not - a LABELS store configures countries here and issues return labels from the order's Shipments window.
- This map is the same for Shopify and WooCommerce stores - return carriers are an OrderKrab setting, not a store setting.
- Despite its label, leaving Return carrier on Use the delivery carrier leaves the country unconfigured. Approving a return from it fails with Returns from XX are not configured. Pick a return carrier and method for it under Shipping → Returns.
- Changing the carrier clears the method and the service, because both belong to the carrier you picked - set them again before saving.
- The country that matters is the one the order was shipped to, and the settings apply to your whole organization, not per store.
- Only Save stores the change, and Discard reverts it. Closing the panel, pressing Esc or picking another country drops unsaved changes without asking.
- This map governs every return label OrderKrab creates on request: portal requests you approve, requests approved instantly, and Create Return on an order. All three read the destination country's setting and none of them falls back to the delivery carrier.
- Auto-return labels that go out inside the parcel are a separate feature, switched on under Return label defaults below this map and in each carrier's Automatic Returns section - this map does not affect them.
- On the Delivery map, Set up returns under a country's panel opens this map on the same country.
