How to configure carrier-specific settings
Each connected carrier has its own page for everything that isn't per-country pricing: your contract, how the carrier collects your parcels, carrier products and customs terms by country, provider-specific options like default parcel dimensions or cash-on-delivery details, and automatic return labels.
- 1
Go to Shipping → Carriers and click Configure on the carrier's card. (The Carriers row under the Delivery map opens the same page.)
- 2
Contract shows your saved credentials. Edit contract updates them, and the same window has Disable contract to disconnect the carrier.
- 3
Shipping methods shows the countries where the carrier is switched on. Methods and prices aren't edited here - Open Delivery takes you to the map.
- 4
Options by country appears for carriers with several products or with customs terms. Pick a destination country, then choose which Shipping products may be offered there and, under Customs duties (Incoterm), whether the receiver pays import duties and taxes (DAP) or you do (DDP).
- 5
Carrier settings: set the Sender type - Locker (you drop parcels at a locker) or Courier (a courier collects them); for locker senders some carriers also need a Locker shipping point. Below it are the provider-specific settings: default shipment dimensions and weight, dynamic rate discounts, COD receiver and bank account (IBAN/BIC), VAT and EORI numbers, default HS code, export reason and more. Each field has an info tooltip.
- 6
Click Save in the page header. Discard reverts everything you haven't saved.
Good to know
- Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks first: Save and leave, Discard and leave or Keep editing.
- Carriers that price at checkout (DHL Express, FedEx, UPS, Nova Post, Zipas Go) have Use the fixed country price instead of the dynamic rate among their carrier settings. Turn it on to charge the prices you set on the Delivery map instead of the carrier's quote - rates are still checked for availability.
- How the carrier is presented at checkout - shown or hidden, its position, the text under courier rates and WooCommerce free-shipping coupons - is set on the Checkout tab. See how to control how shipping options appear in checkout.
- Automatic Returns at the bottom of the page is covered in the automatic return labels guide.
